Mad March

Hi everyone, welcome to March.

Wow,  March is such a busy month for myself and my family.

Its my Mums birthday on the 7Th ( her 60Th too), my younger brother is on the 9Th, I'm on the 13Th, my older brother is a day after me,  the 14Th, and also my niece is on the 14Th too, then we have my poppas which is on the 28Th. I could go on and on..... but I wont.

So I have been working on getting a surprise done for one of those Birthdays, which I wont give away which one, as the person could well be reading this. Anyway, today is my last day and its not looking like I will make the deadline......Oh well, got to let that one go. I do love making surprises for others though.

I have been down to my dear friend Chryslyns lovely new adventure this morning. Wonderful stuff,  let me tell you. She is opening up a lovely little space called "Reap N Sew"  in Burleigh, and its looking fantastic. I got such a great feel as I walked in. Boxes everywhere, not set up, but, oh its going to be amazing, I could feel it!!
I'm so excited for you Chrys, you will be wonderful.......and of course you can stock up on any of the Mylittle Humble range at a really affordable price. 

Opening day is on Monday I do believe.....ill get an address for you and keep you informed.
Its in the little arcade near the tattoo parlor, there used to be an op shop in there down stairs. Well  "Reap N Sew" are upstairs, don't miss out.
I realise that is just terrible directions as to where it is, but ill endeavour to find out today and make another post.


Ill leave you with a pic of a bag I made for my friend Sonia. She gave me the handles and I got to play. I would do it slightly different next time I think, but I was pretty happy with it.

Lifes too short

Everyday  LIFE brings us a lesson.

Whether that lesson be delivered to you in a kind and gentle way, or in a sudden and tragic one, Its trying to get your attention and tell you something.

This week a very beautiful man was taken  so suddenly from so many people who adored him.
His name was BOBBY REES.

His death has awakened my mind in so many ways.

LIVE your BEST life, BOBBY was larger than life and lived his to the fullest.

I know I will.

                                                     R.I.P  BOBBY.

Purses purses everywhere!!

I just love love this fabric. It was a beautiful Tea towel that I spied whilst visiting my Mum with my girls. She was keen to hold onto it but I begged.....well I said," how could you possibly buy something like that and not give it to me? Its me, its even made in Brasil" hehhe it was very funny. But she believed me, of course she should, so on my happy little way i went home with it! And a few other lovely fabrics ill show you soon. Lucky hey? Thanks mum x

Today was a wonderful day!!

I made this beautiful purse as one of many that will be going into my Etsy shop very very soon. I took lots of photos thinking I could list them today, but quickly realised that wasnt going to happen,  as I am sooo not a photographer.

Progress is good!

Hi all, what lovely rain we have had. My garden is gloriously GREEN. Thanks to my husbands constant attention also! Not so great for some, as parts of the Gold Coast have been flooded.
WHY do people still continue to cross flood waters? It baffles me. I think I have seen too much on floods this weekend. We watched a dvd on floods with our girls,  just to show them  that it can actually cause lots of devastation. ( This was after they spyied an amazingly huge puddle and wanted to play in it!! )The force of flooding waters are just incredible. It dosnt have to be deep in order to move things,  especially little people.

Anyway, lots of cutting was achieved in these rainy days. I made about 25 brooches. and 3 lovely purses. I will load some photos on here tonight when Marconi gets home as im not having much luck with this area on my new toy!!

First entry for the big 2010

O Im terrible at  this blog stuff. My intentions are so so grand, but getting around to it just never comes often enough. I have a new Lap Top and I am still finding my way around it, so bear with me and ill be able to get some more lovely photos on here for you to admire. But for now, all my OS friends,  you can have a little look at our Beautifull Koala from Down Under.

Mylittle Humble snippets

Hello all, I have just returned from 5 weeks in Brasil and am feeling wonderfully refreshed and ready to rock your worlds with 'Mlittle humble'.

It was my first trip to meet my husbands family, and it truly was amazing. I have posted a pic of my beautiful husband and I at a gorgeous beach called, 'Prai de Tambaba'. Everything about it was just incredible. I'm sure I was Brasilian in a past life!

To share or not to share?

I have struggled all along with whether or not I put photos of my children on this blog. They are so gorg its hard not too. But I have found that every time I go to post one of them, I get a not so nice feeling deep down in my tummy. So ....I am busting still, but have decided a compromise. I don't really want to Share my kids with the world......but I am willing to give you little snippets of them, whilst still protecting their identities. SO thats what I have done with the last two pics....hope you enjoy them.

This photo was taken back a few years ago at Sea World. I love it....Camila and Estella, little sisters are fun she used to say. Not anymore!!
